Job summary

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation in Texas seeks a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our outpatient team. You will provide 60-minute, one-on-one treatment sessions focusing on functional rehabilitation for adults with neurological injuries.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, document care thoroughly, and support patient-centered outcomes while using the latest technology and equipment to aid recovery.

Qualifications

• Degree from a certified PTA training program.
• Current Physical Therapist Assistant certification and license to practice in state of application.
• Minimum of 1 year experience preferred, related to treatment of complex neurological injuries.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in exercise, ambulation, functional activities, and the use of assistive devices per the treatment plan established by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist Physical Therapist in collection of outcome measures and completion of complex treatment procedures.
• Educate patients, families, and other health workers on selected procedures and functional activities as directed by Physical Therapist.
• Participate in ongoing program evaluation and development.
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all care provided.
• Maintain working knowledge of and adherence to the APTA Practice Act and Code of Ethics.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
