Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate PRN Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide high-quality rehabilitation services on an as-needed basis. The PTA will work closely with Physical Therapists to implement treatment plans, assist patients in restoring movement and function, and contribute to their overall recovery and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Physical Therapist in evaluating patients and executing treatment plans.
- Provide direct therapy services, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and mobility training.
- Educate patients on therapeutic techniques and proper use of assistive devices.
- Observe and document patient progress and report any changes to the Physical Therapist.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of therapy sessions in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards of practice in physical therapy.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Licensure: Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in Missouri.
- Experience: Prior experience in rehabilitation or clinical settings preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Certifications: CPR certification (preferred).
Work Environment
- PRN (as-needed) position with flexible scheduling.
- Work settings may include hospitals, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, or home health environments.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant required.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to navigate electronic documentation.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Under supervision of a Physical Therapist and in accordance with an established plan of care, provides prescribed physical therapy treatment and services, instruction, and guidance to patients with functional limitations.
- Other duties as assigned, within scope of practice
- Communication with interdisciplinary team with focus on case managing patient's needs, not minutes!
