Job summary

Elara Caring is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team delivering home-based care. You will implement treatment plans, support patient independence, and educate families on home therapy programs.

The role requires a current PTA license, completion of an accredited PTA program, and 6+ months of experience. You may travel between patient homes with a valid driver's license; a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work.
• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association.
• 6+ months experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services according to the treatment plan established by the Physical Therapist.
• Help patients work toward therapy goals that improve mobility, function, and independence.
• Monitor patient progress and promptly report changes in condition or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home therapy programs and techniques to support continued progress.
• Teach patients and families how to safely use assistive devices, including canes, walkers, wheelchairs, prosthetics, and orthotics.
• Deliver safe, high-quality therapy services in accordance with physician orders, clinical standards, and state practice guidelines.

What is Required?

• Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work
• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association
• 6+ months experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferred
• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds, including positioning or transferring patients and moving equipment
• Must possess a valid driver's license, maintain an acceptable driving record, OR have reliable transportation to travel between patient homes and assigned work locations
