Job summary

Stonehill Communities seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, assisting in selecting techniques and sequencing activities. You will adapt treatment plans with the PT, and coordinate schedules for patients with the team.

You will monitor patient responses, communicate with the PT on changes, and participate in other duties or special projects as assigned. This PRN role involves flexible hours and is designed to support resident care teams.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapy assisting required.
• License to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state.
• Ability to complete required in-service training requirements.
• Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.

Responsibilities

• Assists PT in selecting PT techniques and treatment sequence.
• Adapts techniques to the treatment plan and patient needs.

Description

As a Physical Therapist Assistant you function under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. You adhere to applicable principles and practices of Physical Therapy. Assists in selecting Physical Therapy techniques and in the sequence of activities, adapts techniques to the treatment plan . Assists in establishing and modifying individual patient schedules in conjunction with the Physical Therapist and other team members. Assists the Physical Therapist in identifying the problem list, long and short-term goals, and a treatment plan. Coordinates treatment plan with patients, family, and other team members. Monitor patients response to intervention and consult with the Physical Therapist if modification is indicated. Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• License to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant within the state
• Ability to completed required in-service training requirements
• Must be able to move (walk, bend, stand, sit, push, pull, lift) intermittently throughout the workday
