We are hiring for a Physical Therapy Assistant, PRN!

Responsibilities

The Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA, LPTA) performs treatment, provides exercise instruction, and patient education to improve the patient's well-being, following the established plan of care.

• Follow all state-specific laws governing physical therapy in home care, adhering to the treatment plan set by the supervising PT and performing only procedures qualified and trained for; recommend changes to the plan of care as needed.

• Instruct and assist patients with active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, gait, functional activities, ADLs, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training.

• Observe, document, and report patient responses and condition changes to the supervising PT, nurse, and/or physician. Coordinate care with the healthcare team as appropriate.

• Educate patients, family members, caregivers, and healthcare team members within the PTA scope of practice.

Education and Experience

License Requirements

• Current license, registration, or certification to assist in physical therapy practice in the state of practice.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation (vehicle or public transit).
