Position Summary

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides physical therapy interventions under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist to help residents improve mobility, strength, and functional independence.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist, using appropriate therapeutic exercises and activities.
• Monitor resident responses to treatment and report changes to the PT.
• Assist with resident and family education regarding home exercise programs and safety.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation of services provided.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support resident goals and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current, unencumbered PTA license in the state of Tennessee.
• Long-term Care/skilled Nursing Experience Preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
