Department: OP Rehab Srvs

FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $22.54 - $33.81 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary

Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, treats patient population for therapy needs.

Responsibilities
  • Implements treatment plan developed by supervising therapist using appropriate modalities. Seeks consultation as necessary.
  • Monitors patient's responses to the treatment plan. Regularly communicates patient progress and possible goal revisions to the physical therapist. Documents services provided and patient response/progress.
  • Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits and providing information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and community support programs. Assists with patient discharge planning.
  • Performs all underlying duties of the job including but not limited to supervising support personnel according to established licensing laws, state regulations and practice standards.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant or related program.
  • State licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
