Job summary

IU Health in Indiana is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Outpatient Rehab team at 3300 W Community Dr. This role offers both full-time and part-time shifts and requires hands-on patient care.

You will provide PT services to restore function, supervise staff, and participate in education and department operations, with experience in neurological and orthopedic rehab preferred. Candidates must have an accredited PTA associate degree, Indiana PTA license, and BLS

Qualifications

• Requires certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the State of Indiana.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.

Requirements

• Requires an Associate's Degree from an accredited physical therapist assistant education program, or if foreign trained, graduation from an assistant physical therapist education program outside the US with educationally equivalent coursework accepted by Indiana PLA.
• Requires certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the State of Indiana.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.

Roles and Responsibilities

This location is a multi-discipline specialty centerthat offers PT, OT, and SLP services. Experience intreating neurological and orthopedic conditions ispreferred. Aquatic therapy,pelvic floor rehabilitation, lymphedema, neuro rehabilitation, orthopedics, and vestibular rehabilitation are among the services offered here. There is a large team of therapists in this facility withmany opportunitiesto learn from colleagues.

Provides physical therapy services to restore function, reduce pain and prevent disability following disease or injury, and assists patients to reach maximum performance levels. Provides all components of direct patient care including supervision of physical therapist assistants, support personnel and students. Willingly participates in related activities in support of patient care, education and department operations.
