Job summary

OrthoAlaska LLC in Wasilla seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our orthopedic team. You will evaluate, treat and direct therapy for patients who need PT, delivering high-quality care in a fast-growing practice.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited school of Physical Therapy.
• Licensed in Alaska and in good standing to practice physical therapy.
• Desire to be part of a patient-centered professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and direct treatment for patients for whom physical therapy is medically necessary.
• Document this need clearly and maintain ongoing documentation including goals, progress and medical necessity.
• Maintain open and respectful communication with coworkers, physicians, patients, family members and third-party payors; attend department meetings as directed.
• Supervise staff aides and students as needed.
• Keep therapy area clean, neat and presentable and perform other duties as assigned by Director of Therapy Services.
