Job summary

Encore Village of Schaumburg is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team in a full-time role covering Sunday through Thursday. The PTA will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to deliver and document rehabilitation services to patients.

Qualified applicants must be a graduate of an accredited PTA program, hold an IL state license, and be CPR certified. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for coordinating care with patients,

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program is required.
• Current IL State Licensure is required.
• CPR Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Attends and contributes to patient care, staffing conferences and other required meetings as a representative of physical therapy, under the direction of the physical therapist.
• Responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of rehab services; adherence to an established plan of care, department, and patient(s)' schedule, and timely documentation of services.
• Works with other members of the rehabilitation team to implement programs and activities consistent with the needs and capabilities of each patient.
• Acts as an assistant to the Physical Therapist when the Physical Therapist is performing tests, evaluations, and complex procedures.
• Instruct patients, families, and other caregivers in the skills and techniques of the physical therapy treatment program under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Maintains appropriate and timely documentation for all patients treated.
• Cleans, maintains, identifies and reports the need for repair of equipment, as necessary.
• Implements a patient's individualized treatment plan as established by the primary Physical Therapist.
• Provides individualized physical therapy treatments.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) therapy program
• Current IL State Licensure
• CPR Certified
• Excellent, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Results-oriented with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Proficient with therapy documentation (NetHealth)
• Must pass a medical and physical examination based on job qualifications, requirements, and duties/responsibilities.
