Job summary

Encore Village of Schaumburg is seeking a Full Time Physical Therapist Assistant to provide physical therapy treatments under supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist, helping patients gain independence and functioning.

The PTA will work with the rehabilitation team to implement programs, instruct patients and families, and document care accurately while maintaining equipment and following the individualized plan of care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current IL state licensure.
• CPR certification.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with a team and follow care plans.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rehab services per plan of care; follow schedules and document timely.
• Collaborate with rehab team to implement patient programs.
• Assist Physical Therapist during tests, evaluations and procedures.
• Instruct patients and families in PT techniques under supervision.
• Maintain timely documentation for all patients treated.
• Maintain and report equipment needs; implement PT plans.
• Provide treatments: therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, modalities.
• Organize treatment groups with the PT and others as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.
