Physical Therapist Assistant: Lakeshore Bone & Joint Chesterton

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25-$35/hr. commensurate with experience

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Work setting: Outpatient Orthopedic Clinic

Location: 601 Gateway Blvd., Chesterton, IN 46304

Lakeshore Bone & Joint Institute in Chesterton, IN is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant with an interest in spine care and the McKenzie Method to join our team. This unique opportunity will allow you to work closely with other rehab providers and our orthopedic doctors to provide the highest level of therapy care for patients. Responsibilities

You’ll Achieve Success By:

  • Assisting in evaluating clients’ daily living skills and capacities to determine the extent of abilities and limitations
  • Assisting patients with all phases of physical therapy treatment, including exercise instruction, manual therapy techniques, and activities of daily living
  • Observing patients during treatments and reporting observations to the Physical Therapist
  • Communicating with staff and other healthcare team members to exchange, discuss, and evaluate patient information for treatment planning and modifications

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program required
  • Unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant Licensure to practice in IN
  • CPR and first aid certification required
  • Recent graduates and experienced Physical Therapist Assistants are encouraged to apply
