Physical Therapist Assistant, Inpatient PRN
A Physical Therapist Assistant is a technically educated individual who assists the physical therapist in the provision of selected physical therapist interventions. Under the direction and supervision of the physical therapist, physical therapist assistants are the only individuals who assist a physical therapist in the provision of selected interventions. The professional scope of practice consists of patient and client management to optimize physical function, movement, performance, health, quality of life, and well-being across the lifespan. In addition, it includes contributions to public health services aimed at improving population health and the human experience.
Education:
Associate degree in physical therapy is required.
Experience:
One year of physical therapy experience is preferred.
Certification/Licensure:
Licensed as a Physical Therapy Assistant by the Virginia Department of Health Professions required. BLS certification required.
