Job description

As a Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant, you will:

1. Administer the physical therapy treatment plan as developed by the Physical Therapist.
2. Administer non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, traction heat, light, cold, water, and electrical modalities to patients.
3. Accurately document daily, weekly, or monthly records of clients’ progress. Submit clinical paperwork to the office on time each week.
4. Attend educational meetings and contribute to department in-services.
5. Notify the physical therapist or Executive Director of equipment failures, lack of supplies, staff or client changes, and other departmental issues.
6. Schedule clients and perform various office tasks.
7. Apply infection control and universal precautions during patient care activities.
8. Accept clinical assignments aligned with your education and competence.
9. Promote compliance with all fiscal intermediaries and third-party payors through education, coaching, and assistance.

Required Experience/Skills:

1. Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association-accredited program.
2. Current state license to practice Physical Therapy.
3. Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
4. Proof of current CPR certification.
5. Minimum two years experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
6. Knowledge of physical, emotional, social, and biological changes in the geriatric population.
7. Self-directed, enthusiastic, and receptive to constructive feedback.
8. Good verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
9. Professional demeanor with patients, families, coworkers, and others.
10. Meet mandatory continuing education requirements of CenterWell Home Health and licensing boards; maintain clinical competency.
11. Flexible schedule and ability to travel locally.
12. Maintain confidentiality and current licensure certifications.
13. Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
14. Good attendance record.
15. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: $53,100 - $72,500 per year, based on experience, location, and skills.
