As a Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant, you will:

1. Administer the physical therapy treatment plan as developed by the Physical Therapist.
2. Administer non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, traction, heat, light, cold, water, and electrical modalities to patients.
3. Accurately document daily, weekly, or monthly records of clients’ progress and submit clinical paperwork to the office on time each week.
4. Attend educational meetings and contribute to department in-services.
5. Notify the physical therapist or Executive Director of equipment failures, lack of supplies, staff or client changes, and other departmental issues.
6. Schedule clients and perform various office tasks.
7. Apply infection control concepts and universal precautions during patient care activities.
8. Accept clinical assignments that align with your education and competence to care for patients.
9. Promote compliance with all fiscal intermediaries and third-party payors through education, coaching, and assistance.

Required Experience/Skills:

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA-accredited program.
• Current state license to practice Physical Therapy.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Proof of current CPR certification.
• Minimum two years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Knowledge of physical, emotional, social, and biological changes in the geriatric population.
• Self-directed, enthusiastic, and receptive to constructive feedback.
• Good verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
• Professional attitude and image with patients, families, coworkers, and others.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel locally.
• Maintain confidentiality and current licensure certifications; meet continuing education requirements.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Regular attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
