Position: Physical Therapist Assistant - Home Health

Location: Hamden, CT (or specified location)

Employment Type: Part-time

Pay Range

Base salary: $64,200 - $88,000 per year

Pay per visit/unit: $41.00 - $57.00

Responsibilities

• Administer physical therapy treatment plans as developed by Physical Therapists.
• Perform manual therapeutic exercises, massage, traction, heat, cold, water, and electrical modalities.
• Document client records accurately and submit paperwork timely.
• Participate in educational meetings and contribute to departmental in-services.
• Report equipment failures, supply issues, and departmental changes.
• Schedule clients and perform administrative tasks.
• Apply infection control and universal precautions.
• Accept clinical assignments appropriate to your education and competence.
• Promote compliance with payors through education and coaching.

Minimum Requirements

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA-accredited program.
• Current state license to practice Physical Therapy.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, reliable transportation.
• Proof of current CPR certification.
• Minimum two years experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Knowledge of geriatric population changes.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, receptive to feedback.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours and travel locally.
• Maintain confidentiality and meet continuing education requirements.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
