About the Job

Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant for Home Care Visits

New grads welcome! Our patients are private insurance clients, which streamlines note submission and allows you to focus more on patient care. Preference will be given to PTA candidates residing in the areas they apply for.

Compensation ranges from $42.00 to $55.00 per visit, negotiable based on experience.

For Part-Time: 12-20 visits per week
For Full-Time: 25-30 visits per week

Benefits for Part-Time:

• W-2 position with employer paying 50% of Social Security Taxes

• Bi-weekly non-taxable gas reimbursement of $3.50 per visit

• Working hours between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM on weekdays

We seek Physical Therapist Assistants to support our Physical Therapists in providing care to adult clients recovering from surgery at home. If you are self-motivated, organized, and seeking a balanced, well-compensated role with supportive environment and flexibility, we encourage you to apply.

The PTA will assist in executing the rehabilitative plan of care, following the guidance of the Physical Therapist, and submitting clinical notes promptly after each visit.

Responsibilities:

• Confirm appointments with clients
• Follow the PT’s care plan
• Massage and stretch muscles as needed
• Set up therapy equipment
• Sanitize therapy areas
• Assist in lifting or moving patients
• Monitor patients during sessions
• Guide patients through exercises
• Educate patients and families on post-therapy care
• Submit daily progress notes on the same day
• Participate in staff meetings and trainings

Requirements:

• Certification from a PTA program
• Valid Maryland PTA license
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift and move patients
• Computer literacy
• Willingness to learn new techniques
• Valid driver’s license, own vehicle, proof of auto insurance
• BLS certification
• Desire to contribute positively to patient recovery at home
