Position Summary

Responsibilities
  • Conduct Physical Therapy interventions to reduce pain, restore function, promote mobility, and prevent disability following disease, injury, or accident.
  • Work collaboratively with physical therapists to provide high-quality healthcare through instruction, motivation, patient education, and progression of patient rehabilitation towards established goals.
  • Promote fitness and wellness programs post-discharge from therapy.
  • Ensure all interventions and communications are delivered with compassion, patient-centric focus, and adherence to current evidence-based practices, cost-effectiveness, and ethical guidelines.
Position Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited PTA Program.
  • Current / active license in Tennessee.
  • Experience in outpatient and/or sports medicine PT preferred.
Workplace Skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and documentation accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge of safe application of PTA techniques and physical agents.
Physical Environment & Effort
  • Outpatient rehabilitation in a multidisciplinary setting.
  • Potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
  • Prolonged standing, walking, lifting, and transferring patients up to 50 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity, mobility, and physical endurance required.
Performance Standards
  • Implement treatment plans based on standards of practice.
  • Progress patients safely and effectively under supervision.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and uphold professionalism.
  • Participate in team activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
