Job summary

MaxMed Healthcare, in partnership with ReadiForce Government Solutions LLC, seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to support the Defense Health Agency (DHA) at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. The PTA will implement prescribed exercise programs under the direction of a physical therapist for a diverse patient population.

Requirements include an Associate degree (CAPTE-accredited), current BLS, and at least one year of PTA experience, plus U.S.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited program in Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Carry out corrective exercise and treatment programs under the direction of a physical therapist.
• Instruct patients on wheelchairs, crutches, braces and prosthetic devices.
• Administer traction and assist patients to improve functional activities.
• Observe response to treatment and report to the physical therapist.
• Coordinate treatment plans with the rehab team.
