Orlando Health is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to support patient care across departments. You will treat patients, coordinate with the care team, and ensure compliance with policies while maintaining a positive treatment environment.

The ideal candidate holds an accredited PTA associate degree, a current Florida PTA license, and BLS certification. No prior experience is required, and ongoing professional involvement is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited two-year PTA program or hold an associate degree.
• Current Florida license as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients according to professional standards of practice.
• Coordinate patient care with team members and counsel patients and families.
• Maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies and relevant laws.
• Comply with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
• Maintain a cheerful, active treatment area.
• Demonstrate caring, honesty, open communication, and encourage professional appearance.
• Participate in quality assessment, program development, student supervision, committees, safety, and infection control.
• Be aware of legal issues, patient rights, and compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies.
• Practice efficient use and selection of supplies and equipment.
• Provide age-appropriate care based on knowledge of growth and development principles.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
