Good Samaritan Society in Canby, MN seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant to help maximize patients’ potential under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. You will assist with therapy activities and follow a treatment plan to improve daily living functions.

Applicants must be a graduate of an approved American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) PTA program and licensed as a PTA in the practicing state. BLS certification within six months of employment is required, and a valid driver's license

Qualifications

• Self-motivated, collaborative, efficient, organized, reliable and empathetic behavior expected.
• APTA‑approved PTA program completion required.
• Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the practicing state(s).
• BLS certification within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides, monitors and records therapy services to patients/residents with physical, cognitive, or developmental impairments.
• Selects, implements, and modifies therapeutic activities and interventions aligned with goals and competency levels.
• Exchanges information with and provides documentation to the physical therapist about responses to and communications during intervention.
• Follows and adheres to accepted clinical practice guidelines of professional organization.

Job Summary

While working under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) assists patients and residents with therapy activities and exercises scheduled in a treatment plan to improve their quality of life and ability to perform daily activities. Qualifications

Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure. Must also be a graduate through an approved American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) program as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

Must be licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state(s) of practice. Conforms to the supervision and licensing standards of the state(s) where services are provided. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment. When applicable, may require valid driver's license.
