Job summary

Reliant Rehabilitation is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant to deliver therapy services under the supervision of a licensed PT. The role emphasizes patient engagement, adherence to therapy protocols, and high-quality care within a team of clinicians.

The PTA will contribute to program development, maintain licensure, and follow all regulatory requirements while working across facilities to support patients and partners.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant state license.
• Ability to comply with state and federal regulations governing physical therapy.

Responsibilities

• Support patients under the supervision of a licensed PT to improve function.
• Contribute to the development and sustainability of the physical therapy program.
• Advance clinical, professional, and leadership skills through collaboration and continuing education.
• Maintain a current state PTA license and stay informed on practice developments.
• Understand and apply billing practices and ensure compliant treatment delivery.
• Follow infection control and environmental safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

This Physical Therapy Assistant delivers Physical Therapy and related services to patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT), ensuring high-quality care and positive engagement with both clients and facilities. Services should align with the principles of physical therapy and adhere to Reliant Rehabilitation’s standards. Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, supervising Rehab Technicians (as applicable), and managing patient cases. Maintain a professional demeanor that reflects Reliant Rehabilitation’s dedication to excellence in service and client relationships. Comply with all applicable state and federal regulations governing physical therapy practice.

• Support patients in improving functional abilities and skills under the guidance of a licensed PT.
• Contribute to the development and sustainability of a robust physical therapy program.
• Advance clinical, professional, and leadership skills through collaboration, self-directed learning, and continuing education.
• Maintain a current and valid state license and stay informed on developments in physical therapy and healthcare.
• Understand and apply appropriate billing practices and treatment delivery models, ensuring care meets clinical and regulatory standards.
• Follow infection control and environmental safety protocols within the facility.
• Demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English for effective communication and documentation
• Maintaining confidentiality as appropriate and ensuring compliance with the state practice act in the state(s) where you are licensed.
