Role Description

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will work on-site in Thousand Oaks, CA, supporting licensed Physical Therapists in delivering high-quality, hands‑on patient care. In this full-time role, the PTA will implement treatment plans, guide patients through therapeutic exercises, provide instruction on home programs, and monitor progress toward rehabilitation goals. Daily responsibilities include documenting treatments, communicating patient status to supervising therapists, maintaining a safe and clean clinical environment, and assisting with orthopedic and sports‑related rehabilitation programs. The PTA will interact directly with patients, helping them understand their treatment, stay motivated, and adhere to recommended care plans.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, with the ability to carry out treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Strong focus on Patient Care and Quality Patient Care, including clear communication, empathy, and attention to patient safety and comfort.
• Experience or interest in Orthopedics, particularly sports-related injuries and musculoskeletal conditions.
• Active state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in California, or eligibility to obtain licensure before start date.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a clinical team, manage time effectively, and adapt to a dynamic patient schedule.
• Basic proficiency with electronic medical records and clinical documentation; strong organizational and follow-up skills.
• CPR/First Aid certification and familiarity with standard infection control and safety procedures.
• Previous outpatient or sports physical therapy experience is preferred but not required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
