Job summary

Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS) is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our home health team in South Weymouth, MA. This per diem role offers flexible scheduling, $37–$50 per visit, mileage reimbursement, and licensure reimbursement, with ongoing training and supportive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled physical therapy interventions under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility strategies and safety techniques.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Collaborate with Physical Therapists, nurses, occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, physicians and other care team members.
• Complete accurate and timely electronic documentation.

Your Role as a Home Care Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA):

As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with VRNS, you’ll provide skilled physical therapy services directly in patients’ homes under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You’ll work closely with patients and their care teams to promote mobility, strength, independence, safety, and quality of life. Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing skilled physical therapy interventions under the direction of a Physical Therapist
• Providing transfer training and instruction in safe mobility techniques
• Educating patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility strategies, and safety techniques
• Monitoring patient progress and reporting changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Collaborating with Physical Therapists, nurses, occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, physicians, and other members of the care team
• Completing accurate and timely electronic documentation
