Job summary

Claridge House invites you to join our dynamic rehab team as a Full Time Physical Therapist Assistant in North Miami. We are a caring group of PTs and PTAs providing comprehensive rehabilitation with strong benefits.

New grads are welcome; must hold Florida PTA license. The position requires lifting and standing, with teamwork and excellent communication to support patient progress and safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA or Physical Therapist program.
• Current Florida PTA License.
• Ability to lift up to 75/100 pounds and carry up to 30 pounds; prolonged standing; frequent walking, stooping and squatting.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implements treatment programs as established by supervising Physical Therapist.
• Communicates patient’s performance and response to treatment to Physical Therapist.
• Recommends modifications in treatment program and goals based on patient’s response.
• Maintains timely and accurate patient records.
• Cooperate / collaborate with medical treatment staff regarding patient’s treatment and progress.
• Demonstrates Customer Service Excellence
• Follows all safety rules on the job.
• Performs other job duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 1. Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant or a physical therapist program..
• 2. The position requires occasional/ frequent lifting up to 75/100 pounds and carrying of up to 30 pounds; prolonged standing; frequent walking, stooping, and squatting. Fine hand dexterity, eye-hand coordination, the ability to receive oral and written communication, and to communicate verbally and in writing are also necessary.
