Job summary

CHI Mercy Health in Roseburg, OR is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to support patients in rebuilding and maintaining their physical wellbeing, reducing pain, and improving quality of life.

You will perform direct treatments, document progress, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and educate patients and families. Oregon PTA licensure and BLS within 30 days are required, with a strong emphasis on compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Oregon PTA License is required.
• AHA BLS within 30 Days.

Responsibilities

• Performs certain types of client tests and measurements as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Administers treatments as prescribed in the treatment plan. Evaluates effectiveness of treatment and reports to the Physical Therapist. Assists the Physical Therapist with written treatment programs based on evaluations, diagnosis and age-related policies.
• Implements and assesses appropriate education per Plan of Care and under Physical Therapist delegation.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Physical Therapist Assistant, you will help patients rebuild or maintain their physical wellbeing so they can function at their best level, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life.

Every day you will provide a variety of direct treatments. You will be expected to consistently meet patient care productivity standards, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and families, and promote a positive customer service environment.

To be successful in this role, you must possess strong age-appropriate competency skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative, patient-centered approach to care.

Job Requirements

Required

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
• Oregon Physical Therapy Assistant License

• Clinical experience in dealing with a broad base rehabilitation facility
