Flagship Therapy in Pensacola, FL is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to join our in-house rehabilitation program at Englewood Heights Post-Acute and Rehab. You will contribute to a team focused on geriatrics, helping patients recover and maintain independence.

The role includes screening and evaluating patients, delivering therapeutic interventions, wound care as needed, and preparing discharge summaries.

Qualifications

• PTA license required to practice.
• Open to PTAs at all experience levels; new grads welcome.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate patients with physical functioning disorders and wound care; develop care plans.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled and medically necessary treatment interventions.
• Manage regular standing and walking, with lifting and repositioning as needed.
• Administer procedures in the rehabilitation plan (manual techniques, ambulation, exercises, modalities, devices).
• Provide consultation to patients, families, and other service providers about physical disorders.
• Generate discharge summaries to ensure regulatory and clinical compliance.

Our expanding network of in-house therapy Ensign-affiliate operated healthcare facilities is growing, and we are scouting for excellent therapists to join us at Englewood Heights Post-Acute and Rehab in Pensacola, FL. We can offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking dedicated PRN Physical Therapist Assistant for our in-house rehab program!

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Qualifications

• Physical Therapist Assistant license is required.
• Open to PTAs at all experience levels. New Grads are welcome!
