Position Summary

The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for providing Physical Therapy treatment under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Demonstrates ability to appropriately treat patients according to professional standards of practice.
• Possesses strong interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to coordinate patient care with team members and counsel patients and families.
• Maintains regular, punctual attendance in accordance with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other relevant standards.
• Ensures compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.

• Demonstrates caring, honesty, and open communication, promoting a professional appearance.
• Participates in quality assessment, program development, student supervision, safety, and infection control activities.

Qualifications

Education/Training

Associate degree or graduation from an accredited two-year Physical Therapist Assistant program.
