Position Responsibilities:
- Assume clinical responsibility in an assigned facility, providing direct patient care under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
- Follow all state-specific laws governing physical therapy in-home care.
- Perform procedures only within your qualifications and training.
- Make recommendations for changes in the plan of care to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Instruct and assist patients in exercises, gait training, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training.
- Observe, record, and report patient responses and condition changes.
- Educate patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members about therapy participation.
- Visit patients per the Plan of Treatment; complete daily notes.
- Participate in developing the Plan of Treatment.
- Adhere to Therapy Standards of Practice.
- Report patient progress and responses to the Physical Therapist.
- Assist in procedures, tests, and treatments to ensure safe and effective care.
Current Requirements:
- Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in Washington State.
- Ability to follow directions from registered therapists and team members.
- Ability to work independently with periodic support.
