Qualifications

Position Responsibilities:
  • Assume clinical responsibility in an assigned facility, providing direct patient care under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
  • Follow all state-specific laws governing physical therapy in-home care.
  • Perform procedures only within your qualifications and training.
  • Make recommendations for changes in the plan of care to the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Instruct and assist patients in exercises, gait training, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training.
  • Observe, record, and report patient responses and condition changes.
  • Educate patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members about therapy participation.
  • Visit patients per the Plan of Treatment; complete daily notes.
  • Participate in developing the Plan of Treatment.
  • Adhere to Therapy Standards of Practice.
  • Report patient progress and responses to the Physical Therapist.
  • Assist in procedures, tests, and treatments to ensure safe and effective care.
Current Requirements:
  • Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in Washington State.
  • Ability to follow directions from registered therapists and team members.
  • Ability to work independently with periodic support.
