Job summary

The Orchards at Niles in Niles, MI is seeking a PRN Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house therapy team. This role supports short-term rehabilitation and long-term skilled nursing care in a calming environment, with opportunities for growth and career enrichment.

As a PTA, you will administer treatments, follow care plans, and educate residents and families. You will work with a supportive team and benefit from flexible scheduling and an emphasis on compassionate, heart-led care.

Qualifications

• Active PTA license in Michigan.
• Experience in rehab and long-term care settings preferred.
• Ability to implement and adjust treatment plans per physician orders.

Responsibilities

• Administer treatments per established plan of care to improve function and mobility.
• Document patient care history and progress in compliance with policy and regulations.
• Monitor patient response and adjust interventions as needed.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on exercises and home programs.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care.

The Orchards at Niles in Niles, MI has an amazing opportunity for a PRN Physical Therapy Assistant ( PTA)to join their In-House Therapy Team. The Orchards at Niles provides short-term rehabilitation and long-term skilled nursing care in a calm and relaxing environment. Our robust rehabilitation program challenges patients to meet and exceed expectations, with the overall goal of allowing them to return home faster and stronger than before.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Administer treatment to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing
• Assure all treatment is delivered in accordance with an established plan of care
• Provide clinical support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers
• Monitor patient response to treatment intervention
• Complete required forms and documentation in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations
• Consulting with patients to learn about their physical condition.
• Assessing and interpreting patient evaluations and test results.
• Developing treatment plans using a variety of treatment techniques.
• Creating personalized fitness-oriented health care programs for patients.
• Administering medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve mobility.
• Advising patients on exercise techniques.
• Advising patients and their families about in-home treatment options.
• Providing educational information about injury prevention, ergonomics and ways to promote physical health.
• Consulting and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
• Documenting patient care history.
• Complying with rules, regulations, and procedures.
