Job summary

JAG Physical Therapy in the New York area is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our care-first outpatient team. The PTA provides treatment under a Physical Therapist, manages a full caseload, and completes all documentation required for patient care.

You will coordinate with staff, maintain EMR notes in WebPT, and adhere to NY/NJ CEU requirements. JAG offers a sign-on bonus, quarterly bonuses, HSA options, life insurance, PTO, a 401(k) match, and tuition discounts.

Qualifications

• Licensed PTA in NY or NJ
• Completed state CEU requirements for PTA
• Experience with EMR software preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Ability to work both independently and in a team

Responsibilities

• Provide PT interventions safe and effective under PT guidelines
• Manage and delegate to support staff as needed
• Complete documentation in WebPT EMR timely
• Maintain CEU requirements for PTA license
• Attend Billing/Coding seminars
• Assist with facility cleanliness and organization
• Educate community through lectures/presentations
• Demonstrate respectful interactions with patients and staff
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Therapist Assistant

The Physical Therapist Assistant provides treatment and manual techniques under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. The PTA is expected to manage a full caseload and complete all documentation required for patient care.

What You’ll Need:

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant
• Completed state regulated CEU requirement in appropriate state (NY, NJ)
• Experience/knowledge with an EMR software is preferred
• Excellent oral, written communication
• Excellent work ethic and dedication to patient success
• Basic computer skills
• Works as a team member and individually with minimal supervision
• Maintains a positive, professional demeanor at all times

What You’ll Do:

• Provides PT interventions that are safe, effective, and in compliance with JAG PT guidelines
• Manages and delegates to support staff as needed for patient care
• Completes documentation of notes in WebPT EMR in timely manner as per JAG PT guidelines
• Maintains state regulated CEU requirements for PTA license
• Attends annual JAG PT Billing/Coding seminar
• Assists with cleanliness and organization of facility
• Educates the surrounding community through lectures/presentations
• Demonstrates respectful intervention with patients, colleagues, and others
• Other duties as assigned
