Hands of Hope Physical Therapy is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient clinic in Whitestone, New York. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore functional movement through individualized rehabilitation programs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Active New York State PTA license.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans
• Provide therapeutic exercises, stretching, balance training, and functional mobility activities
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Physical Therapist
• Educate patients on home exercise programs and proper body mechanics
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EMR system
• Prepare treatment areas and ensure a safe and clean clinical environment
• Collaborate with Physical Therapists and other healthcare providers to support patient outcomes
