Employment Type

Full-time (Mon-Fri; 40 hours per week. Possibility of alternating Saturdays can be flexible. Schedule discussed during interview.)

Responsibilities

• Assisting in evaluating clients’ daily living skills and capacities to determine the extent of abilities and limitations.
• Assisting patients with all phases of physical therapy treatment, including exercise instruction, manual therapy techniques, and activities of daily living.
• Observing patients during treatments and reporting observations to the Physical Therapist.
• Communicating with staff and other healthcare team members to exchange, discuss, and evaluate patient information for treatment planning and modifications.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program required
• Physical Therapist Assistant Licensure in good standing in New York state
• CPR and first aid certification required
• Experience as a licensed PTA in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred; however, recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
