Job summary

Select Medical's outpatient orthopedic center in New Haven, CT is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to provide high-quality patient care under a licensed PT's supervision. The PTA will treat patients of all ages, Monday through Friday, with an emphasis on maximizing functionality and return to athletics, work and life.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited PTA program and CAPTE national exam, state PTA license (or in process), CPR certification.

Overview

Position:Physical Therapist Assistant

Location: New Haven, CT

Schedule: Monday through Friday

Compensation: Hourly wage is $32-$38 based on experience.

Our Select Physical Therapy outpatient orthopedic center is seeking a licensed physical therapist assistant (PTA) to provide top-notch patient care to patients of all ages and abilities. Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
• Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
• Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.

Qualifications

• College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
• Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
• Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
• CPR certification
