Job summary

Select Medical's outpatient physical therapy center in Ansonia, CT is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our clinical team. You will provide high-quality patient care under the supervision of a licensed PT and help patients of all ages regain function and return to work, sports, and daily activities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Pass the CAPTE national PTA exam and maintain licensure status.
• Current state PTA license or in process.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
• Deliver high-quality physical therapy services with minimal supervision.
• Maintain positive interactions with centers, patients, and staff to enhance client relations.

Education

Our Select Physical Therapyoutpatient orthopedic center is seeking a licensed physical therapist assistant (PTA) to provide top-notch patient care to patients of all ages and abilities. Our highly trained and respected clinical team provides treatment services that maximize functionality and promote the best optimal outcomes for our patients. We take pride in creating an exceptional patient experience, helping all of our patients get back to athletics, work, life, and the things they love.

We treat a diverse caseload of sports medicine, general orthopedics, vestibular, and workers compensation patients, aging from teens through adults. Our clinic is open 7am – 7pm Monday through Friday, with evening hours for our active sports medicine and orthopedic population.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
• Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
• Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.

Qualifications

• College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
• Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
• Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
• CPR certification
