The Garrison Care Center in Lubbock, TX seeks a Part Time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our in-house therapy team. The PTA will screen, evaluate, and deliver rehabilitative treatment to geriatric patients in a post-acute setting.

Open to all experience levels, including new grads. We offer a stable therapy team, in-house programs, and a values-driven work culture focused on patient recovery and quality care.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant required.
• New grads welcome; open to PTA at all experience levels.

Responsabilités

• Screen and evaluate patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care; develop care plans.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment per regulatory and clinical standards.
• Stand/walk throughout the facility; assist with lifting, transferring, and repositioning as needed.
• Administer procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and wound care.
• Provide counseling to patients, families, and other providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring regulatory compliance.

The Garrison Care Center in Lubbock, TX, is a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and geriatric services provided. We can offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking a Part Time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our in-house therapy team.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Qualifications

Physical Therapist Assistant license is required.
