Compensation
- Hourly pay ranging from $28.00 to $48.00

Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy services under supervision of a licensed physical therapist, in accordance with the physician-approved care plan
- Observe, document, and report patient responses and condition changes to the supervising PT, physician, and clinical staff
- Promote wellness, prevention, and resources for future needs
- Document supervisory activities in the patient's medical record
- Monitor and record patient responses to therapy interventions
- Participate in care conferences, in-services, audits, quality improvement, and peer-review activities
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Coordinate follow-up care and utilize community resources as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Current license as a physical therapy assistant in the state of employment
- Graduate from an accredited PTA program per CAPTE standards
- At least one year of relevant physical therapy experience for new home health PTAs; less than one year requires approval from regional clinical leaders and mentoring or residency participation
- Current CPR certification
