Job summary

Ortho Louisville is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to contribute to patient recovery under a PT supervision plan. In outpatient settings, you will implement treatment plans, document progress, and collaborate with PTs and therapists to support full recovery after surgery or injury.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited physical therapist assistant program.
• State license to practice as a physical therapist assistant.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Understand and adhere to the state practice act.
• Maintain state licensure and complete continuing education regularly to stay current on the practice of physical therapy to best serve our patients.
• Treat patients in need of skilled physical therapy services with proper documentation to support medical necessity of treatment under the direction of a licensed PT.
• Facilitate open communication with physicians, co‑workers and patients to provide the best comprehensive care possible for the community we serve.
• Participate in chart audits and review of care plans with colleagues to facilitate best practices within our organization.
