Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a per diem basis. The PTA is responsible for implementing therapeutic treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to improve the mobility, function, and overall well-being of our patients and residents.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out individualized treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist.
• Provide physical therapy services including exercises, therapeutic modalities, gait training, and functional mobility interventions.
• Monitor and document patient progress, response to therapy, and any changes in condition.
• Communicate effectively with the Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary team regarding patient status and recommendations.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on safe techniques for mobility and exercises to support recovery and independence.
• Assist in evaluating patient needs for assistive devices and train in their safe use.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in accordance with regulatory standards and facility protocols.
• Promote a positive and supportive environment for patients, families, and team members.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the State of Florida.
• Previous experience in an acute care or long-term care setting preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Additional Information:

• Per diem position with weekday availability and rotating weekends required.
• Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
