Job summary

Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant in the San Marco rehab site in Jacksonville, FL. The PTA provides PT services under supervision and participates in patient care planning and documentation.

Requirements include state licensure, graduation from an accredited PTA program, and at least one year of clinical experience, with strong communication and multitasking abilities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to patients under the supervision of the physical therapist.
• Ensure completion of all required documentation of patient care activities.
• Adhere to the established policies and procedures of the CENTER.
• Fulfill all duties assigned by the physical therapist or Site Coordinator.
• Report to the Site Coordinator any injuries or adverse reactions during or after treatment.
• Participate in patient review conferences and staffing.
• Assist in Utilization Review, Quality Assurance, Program Evaluation, Infection Control, and Safety Committee activities.
• May supervise volunteers and PTA students as directed by the Administrator and Site Coordinator.
• Participate in CENTER in-service activities.

Physical Therapist Assistant

Full Time Rehab-San Marco, Jacksonville, FL, US

Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute is looking for someone to work full-time as a Physical Therapist Assistant at the San Marco Rehab.

The position is full-time with benefits including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, and 401K retirement plan.

The Physical Therapist Assistant provides physical therapy services to patients referred to the center under the supervision of the physical therapist.

Schedule: Monday - Friday- FT/Exempt

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to patients as directed by the patient care plan and supervised by the physical therapist.
• Ensure completion of all required documentation of patient care activities.
• Adhere to the established policies and procedures of the CENTER.
• Fulfill all duties assigned by either the physical therapist or the Site Coordinator.
• Report to the Site Coordinator any injuries or adverse reactions during or after treatment.
• Participate in patient review conferences and staffing.
• Assist the Site Coordinator as follows, but not limited to: Utilization Review, Quality Assurance, Program Evaluation, Infection Control, and Safety Committee activities.
• May directly supervise assigned tasks of volunteers and PTA students. It is understood that the PTA makes no judgments or changes in student’s role in CENTER. This responsibility is approved by the Administrator and Site Coordinator.
• Participate in CENTER in-service activities.

Physical Demands

Must be able to stand for long periods of time.Must be able to lift, bend, walk, kneel, stretch, and stoop. Requires eye hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires normal hearing and eyesight to allow for patient interaction and processing of patient information. Ability to move/lift 10-15 pounds frequently and up to 40 pounds occasionally.
