Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services as planned, delegated, and supervised by a qualified Physical Therapist, in accordance with the patient's Plan of Treatment.
• Consult regularly with the Physical Therapist regarding the patient's progress, questions, and concerns.
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of equipment and treatment areas.
• Report equipment problems to ensure proper maintenance.
• Communicate patient's needs and progress to the Physical Therapist and assist in securing adaptive equipment to improve function.
• Maintain and submit patient treatment and billing documentation according to regulations and company policies.
• Adhere to the company's Code of Conduct, policies, HIPAA, compliance programs, and legal standards.
• Participate in staff development, continuing education, and maintain clinical skills.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted license as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the practicing state.
• Current BLS or CPR certification, in accordance with state regulations.
• Preferred minimum of one year's experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques for complex neurological injuries.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
