Job summary

Select Medical is seeking a licensed PTA for our Outpatient Orthopedics center in Fort Walton Beach, FL. You will provide patient care under a licensed physical therapist, delivering high-quality services in a supportive clinic environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a college graduate from an accredited PTA program.
• CAPTE national examination passed to become PTA certified.
• Valid PTA license or license in process.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
• Deliver high-quality physical therapy services following policy and procedures.
• Maintain positive interaction with centers and patients and support clinical relationships.

Position: Physical Therapist Assistant – Outpatient Orthopedics

Location: 405 Racetrack Rd NE, Suite 101, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32547

Schedule: Monday–Friday

Compensation: $25.00 - $30.00/hour pending experience plus a $3,000 bonus

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
• Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures
• Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.

Qualifications

• College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program
• Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE
• Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)
• CPR certification
