Job summary

Elara Caring is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team and help deliver outstanding home health therapy. You will work under a supervising Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans and support patients in improving mobility and independence.

You will educate patients and caregivers, monitor progress, and safely use assistive devices. A valid PTA license and driver''s license are required for travel between patient homes.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program
• 6+ months PTA experience preferred
• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds
• Must possess a valid driver''s license or reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services according to the plan established by the Physical Therapist
• Help patients work toward therapy goals to improve mobility, function, and independence
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to supervising PT
• Educate patients and caregivers on home therapy programs and techniques
• Teach patients and families how to safely use assistive devices (canes, walkers, wheelchairs, prosthetics, orthotics)
• Deliver safe, high-quality therapy services per physician orders and state guidelines

• - Deliver safe, high-quality therapy services in accordance with physician orders, clinical standards, and state practice guidelines

What is Required?

• - Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work
• - Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association
• - 6+ months experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferred
• - Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds, including positioning or transferring patients and moving equipment
• - Must possess a valid driver's license, maintain an acceptable driving record, OR have reliable transportation to travel between patient homes and assigned work locations
