Job description

We are hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, follow all state-specific laws governing physical therapy in home care, adhere to the treatment plan set by the Physical Therapist, perform only procedures qualified and trained for, and recommend changes to the plan of care as needed.
• Follow the plan of care, instruct and assist patients in evidence-based treatments within the scope of a physical therapy assistant, according to state laws.
• Observe, record, and report to the supervising PT, nurse supervisor, and/or physician the patient's response to treatment and any changes in condition. Coordinate care with other healthcare team members as appropriate.
• Educate patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare team members about therapy within the scope of the physical therapy assistant.

Education and Experience

• Current license, registration, or certification to assist in physical therapy practice in Texas.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle.
• For LA and TX: At least one (1) year of experience as a licensed PTA.
