Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Physical Therapist, you will help patients rebuild or maintain their physical wellbeing so they can function at their best level, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life. Every day you will perform initial evaluations, develop and update individualized plans of care, and provide a variety of direct treatments. You will be expected to consistently meet patient care productivity standards, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and families, and promote a positive customer service environment. To be successful in this role, you must possess strong age‑appropriate competency skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative, patient‑centered approach to care.

• Administers therapeutic exercises and physical therapy modalities according to the physical therapy plan of care.
• Instructs, motivates and assists patients to learn and improve functional activity such as pre‑ambulation, transfer, ambulation, and daily living activities.
• Observes patients during treatments, assesses, and compiles data on patients’ responses to treatments and progress, reporting verbally or in writing to the physical therapist and may communicate updates to physicians.
• Fits patients for, adjusts, and trains patients in the use and care of orthopedic braces, prostheses, and supportive devices (e.g., crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs).
• May perform clerical duties.
• Promotes and supports positive and professional customer service, interacts with clients, guests and hospital personnel, collaborates with the interdisciplinary team and other departments and disciplines to assure patients and customers’ needs are met timely, and encourages active participation of patients and/or families in goal setting and training/education.

Job Requirements

• Associate level, Physical Therapist Assistants, and graduates eligible for licensure will be considered upon hire.
• Physical Therapy Assistant: Texas license required upon hire.
• Basic Life Support – CPR within 14 days of hire.

Clinical services include cardiovascular, diagnostic imaging, women’s services (digital mammography, bone density studies), neurosciences, pediatric care (newborn, Level III nurseries), surgery, pathology, pulmonary services, and sleep disorder services.

Pay Range

$27.43 – $40.80 per hour
