Job summary

Elm Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team in a full-time role. The PTA provides treatments under supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist to improve patient independence and functioning.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, collaborating with the rehab team, assisting the PT during evaluations, and educating patients and families on therapy techniques to support recovery and daily activities.

Qualifications

• Must be graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program certified by the APTA.
• Must be licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required by the state of practice.
• Requires good organizational and time management skills.
• Requires good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implements patient’s individualized treatment plan as established by the primary Physical Therapist.
• Works with rehabilitation team to implement programs matching each patient’s needs and capabilities.
• Acts as an assistant to the Physical Therapist during tests, evaluations and complex procedures.
• Instructs patients, families and other caregivers in skills and techniques of the physical therapy program under the supervision of the Physical Therapist.

We are currently seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in a Full-Time role (consistent PRN role also available).

The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for providing physical therapy treatments to patients to facilitate increased independence and functioning under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Implements patient’s individualized treatment plan as established by the primary Physical Therapist
• Work with other members of the rehabilitation team to implement programs consistent with the needs and capabilities of each patient
• Acts as an assistant to the Physical Therapist when the Physical Therapist is performing tests, evaluations and complex procedures
• Instructs patients, families and other caregivers in the skills and techniques of the physical therapy treatment program under the supervision of the Physical Therapist
