Job summary

Apple Therapy Services in Bedford, NH is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine team. You will work under licensed PTs to implement plans, guide patients through exercises, and help restore mobility.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program (Associate degree).
• Active (or eligible for) Physical Therapist Assistant license in New Hampshire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification.
• Outpatient orthopedic experience is a plus; but new graduates are welcome.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for musculoskeletal health.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of direct patient care by implementing therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, gait training, and modalities.
• Observe and document patient status and progress; communicate findings to supervising PT.
• Instruct patients and families on home exercise programs, body mechanics, and injury prevention.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure superior patient outcomes.
• Maintain a clean, professional, and organized clinical environment.

The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our collaborative rehabilitation team. Working under the direction of our licensed Physical Therapists, you will play a critical role in executing treatment plans and helping our patients regain mobility and strength.

Key Responsibilities

• Treatment Implementation: Deliver direct patient care by implementing therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, gait training, and modalities.
• Progress Monitoring: Observe and document patient status and progress, communicating findings clearly to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Patient Education: Instruct patients and their families on home exercise programs (HEPs), body mechanics, and injury prevention.
• Collaboration: Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of PTs, PTAs, OTs, and Orthopedic Surgeons to ensure superior patient outcomes.
• Clinic Maintenance: Assist in maintaining a clean, professional, and organized clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program (Associate degree).
• Licensure: Active (or eligibility for) Physical Therapist Assistant license in the State of New Hampshire.
• Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification.
