Summary

We are hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).

Responsibilities

1. Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, follow all state-specific laws governing physical therapy in home care, adhere to the treatment plan set by the Physical Therapist, perform only procedures qualified and trained for, and recommend changes to the plan of care as needed.
2. Follow the plan of care, instruct and assist patients in evidence-based treatments within the scope of practice for a physical therapy assistant, in accordance with state laws.
3. Observe, document, and report to the supervising PT, nurse supervisor, and/or physician regarding the patient's response to treatment and any changes in their condition. Coordinate care with other healthcare team members as appropriate.
4. Instruct patients, family members, caregivers, and other healthcare team members in therapy-related areas within the scope of the physical therapy assistant's practice.

Education and Experience

License Requirements

• Current license, registration, or certification to assist in physical therapy practice in Arizona.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation.
