Job summary

FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Centers in Alpena, MI is seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient team. You’ll work with a diverse patient population from infants to seniors under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists and gain experience in orthopedic, balance, vestibular and geriatric rehab.

We offer $46,000–$52,000 annually plus performance bonuses and sign-on/relocation incentives, relocation expense considered, and a benefits package including PTO,

Qualifications

• Licensed (or license-eligible) Physical Therapist Assistant in Michigan.
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Outpatient experience preferred, but motivated new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Interest in orthopedic, balance, vestibular, and neurological rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direction and supervision of licensed Physical Therapists.
• Implement individualized treatment plans for orthopedic, vestibular, neurological, and geriatric patients.
• Assist patients in improving mobility, balance, strength, and functional independence.
• Utilize advanced rehabilitation technology to enhance treatment outcomes.
• Document patient care using Prompt EMR and AI-assisted tools.
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and injury prevention strategies.
• Collaborate with therapists and support staff to deliver exceptional patient experiences.
• Participate in community outreach and wellness initiatives, including fall-prevention programs.
