Summary

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients to determine rehabilitation potential, identify needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and set goals for the team plan of care
  • Establish short-term and long-term goals
  • Use equipment safely, maintain logs for inspection, maintenance, and cleaning, and report any broken or faulty equipment
  • Maintain logs for required outpatient clinic equipment
  • Follow prescribed medical regimens and adhere to precautions (e.g., THR, TKR, cardiac, wound care)
  • Utilize safe treatment techniques such as transfers, positioning, feeding, splinting, paraffin baths, cryotherapy, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, etc.
  • Complete discharge summaries for each patient during their final outpatient visit
Education and Experience
  • Current Physical Therapist licensure in the state of practice
  • Current CPR certification
  • Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation
